On June 13th, the Heidrick Ag History Center, home to the largest collection of vintage agricultural machinery in North America, will unveil a new interactive exhibit during a special reception from 6-7:30 PM at the museum located at 1962 Hays Lane in Woodland.
The Heidrick Ag History Center will showcase a new 10 piece tractor exhibit and introduce new cell phone technology to help visitors delve more deeply into the story of each machine. The exhibit includes tractors from the Heidrick’s permanen collection as well as pieces on loan from a private collector. There will also be guest story tellers that will take you on tour including Doug & Matt Veerkamp, “The Caterpillar Story” and Ed & Sue Claessen, “The Best & Holt Story”. As well, guests will enjoy an evening of appetizers and tastings from Berryessa Gap, Capay Valley Vineyards, Copper Hill Olive Oil, Lucero Oil, Putah Creek Winery, Simas Family Vineyard, and Séka Hills Wine & Olive Oil.
The Heidrick Ag History Center introduces visitors at the Tractor and Truck Museum to the marvels of agriculture, and commercial trucking with 130,000 sq.ft of interactive, one-of-a-kind exhibits. The cornerstones of these exhibits are the Fred C. Heidrick Antique Ag Collection, the world’s largest and most unique collection of one-of-a-kind antique agricultural equipment and the Hays Antique Truck Museum, also recognized as the largest of its kind in the world.
