The STAR Eco Station, located in Rocklin, is an environmental science museum, an exotic wildlife rescue center, and a haven for endangered and illegally trafficked exotic animals confiscated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Visitors to the STAR Eco Station experience amazing hands-on lessons in ecology and environmentalism through breathtaking encounters with birds, exotic reptiles, and ocean life in a tropical jungle setting. Guided tours last about an hour, and are led by expert staff. Visitors are introduced to a host of exotic rescued wildlife, from tropical fish to tortoises, from parrots to pythons. Visitors on the tour will have the chance to meet several of the exotic rescued animals up close and personal. The public tour also features exhibits on innovative approaches to addressing the challenges facing the environment, and offers tips on how to help save the planet through small changes at home and at school.
Public tours start every hour on the hour, with the last tour starting one hour before closing.
